Cisco Click-To-Call – Initiate Cisco IP calls from Firefox, IE and Office

Cisco Click-To-Call

Cisco has released an improved version of the Click-To-Call widget version 8.0 (Release Notes). This plug-in allows you to use Internet Explorer, Firefox and Office 2003/2007 applications to launch calls to Cisco UC phones. The plug-in works flawlessly to allow for quick dialing and triggering of you’re desktop or Cisco IP SoftPhone.

The setup is minimal on UC and requires a bit of tweaking with Dial Plans and SOAP interface changes. I was able to get this plug-in up and running with the older firmware 6.1.3.100-16 and the newer 8.0 client which is backwards compatible. If you do not have a Cisco.com login to download this product, the link is here (Cisco Click-To-Call 8.0).

Can you tell me if this is the latest version? I’m interested to know if it supports Google Chrome yet? I assume it works with Office 2010?
